The EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE of the Ice Station is a volunteer body, elected for a period of 2 years. All clubs at the rink are affiliated to national associations. The Governing Body of the Ice Rink allocates ice time and subsidies to these associations on an equal basis, which is subsequently divided among the various clubs and teams at the discretion of the associations. From small beginnings, we have come a very long way. In 2007 the Cape Peninsula Ice Skating Club celebrated 21 years! 1986 - 2007. Take a look into our past and see just how we got to where we are today.

The Governing Body is represented at all activities and functions held at the rink and meets at least once a month to manage the business of the rink. These meetings usually take place on the second Wednesday of every month from 18h30 to 24h00. A General Manager, Maintenance Manager and Office Manager provide full time supervision over permanent staff and submit a report to the Governing Body monthly. Executive Committee members are not reimbursed for their services.
