Some basic synchro information All national level synchronised teams in the Western Province fall under the auspices of the South African Figure Skating Association (WP) as there are stringent rules pertaining to qualification for National and Protea Colours and even qualification for membership of the team itself. SAFSA therefore control this aspect of the sport carefully themselves, though clubs may have their own teams at Introductory Level, which do not qualify for provincial nor national Colours. Currently there are two Introductory teams (administered by the clubs), namely Junior Blades and Black Panthers, plus a Novice team, Team Silhouette, our Juniors, Team Rainbow, and one Senior team, Sun Things.
